I offer a number of packages to suit your needs. Along with your website, I can also set up your mailing list, including creating the automation sequence, create your eCommerce shopfront, and more.

I work in WordPress because it allows for greater customization than other platforms, integrates with most mailing list services, and lets you remove all platform branding.

I use the GeneratePress theme (fast and reliable) with the Elementor Pro builder on top to add more bells and whistles. If you already have a theme/premium plugin that you love, we can review it to make sure it does what you want/need it to do without impacting your Google ranking, and potentially use that.

Process

We’ll meet over Zoom to discuss your requirements and timeframe, and make sure we’re a good fit. To start that process, send me a message via the contact form.

I’ll send you a detailed questionnaire to understand how you want the site to look and function.

Once you return the questionnaire, I’ll create your quote (if not determined during the initial call) and send you an invoice for the first payment—50% of the full cost.

Upon clearance of the first payment, I’ll get to work! I’ll install WordPress on your hosting plan, connect your domain name, and start the customization, based on your brand colors and fonts. This is also when you’ll send me the graphics (bio pic, book covers, stock photos, etc) and content (book blurbs, links to your books on online stores, and anything else as specified in your questionnaire.

If you’re not sure which hosting service or domain name registrar to use, I can help you decide on reliable service providers and guide you through the purchasing process.

With the initial design complete*, we’ll set up a review session and I’ll walk you through the site’s design and functionality to make sure it looks and works as you expect.

* I send mockups and questions along the way, to make sure we’re on the right path.

I’ll make the changes we’ve agreed upon, then schedule another review session.

We’ll set a date/time to launch the site, and I’ll send you an invoice for the final 50% payment.

Once the final payment has cleared, I’ll launch your site on the date and time we agreed upon, make sure everything’s functioning as it should, then hand over the keys. (Need monthly maintenance? I offer that, too.)

I’ll provide an hour’s training on how to update and maintain your site. This can happen either pre- or post-launch, and can be split into two 30-minute sessions. I’ll also give you a site bible after launch, with instructions and your site’s branding kit (colors, fonts).

Don’t want to update the site yourself? No problem! I provide support & maintenance packages.

Turnaround time

Most sites average a month from start to launch time, mainly because of the decisions that need to be made along the way.

However, if you have all your site graphics, text, and other materials, and you already know the colors and fonts you want to use, I can stand up your site in a week, sometimes less. Ask me if I have a spot open.

Support & maintenance packages

Not the technical type or just want someone else to keep the lights on? I can take care of that for $45/month or $450/month.

If you need a once-off service, to install a plugin or do some troubleshooting, add/update pages, my ad-hoc rate is $50USD/hour, or you can buy a block of 5 hours for $200USD. Contact me for more information.

Newsletter services

eCommerce integration with your WordPress site

  • Customize either Woocommerce or Shopify shopfronts to your brand look, colors, and fonts
  • Add books or other products on individual product pages
  • Add payment gateways
  • Configure product delivery method (digital or physical) and tracking
Cost: $500+ USD, with a $150 discount if set up at the same time as your website (any package)

Payment options

I accept payment by Paypal account*, Stripe, and bank transfer (within Australia and internationally).

(A change to the tax regulation by the Australian government in late 2020 means that Paypal no longer allows customers outside Australia to pay by credit card, so you’ll need to have a Paypal account and pay with your Paypal balance to use that option. I’m sorry for this inconvenience.)

Speaking of tax, I issue fully itemized invoices with my business registration number, so you can claim all expenses in your return.
